The Frontier General Ledger is designed to automatically validate
and capture the operational transactions processed within the Frontier® ERP
System. The Frontier General Ledger is fully integrated with all
of the supporting Frontier® ERP based application modules,
with flexible options for posting both summary and detailed financial
information. This summary and detailed information maintained within
the Frontier General Ledger module provides the foundation for
generating standard and ad-hoc financial reports used in analyzing
and controlling all aspects of an organization’s operations.
Frontier iGL is an InternetIntranet-based inquiry application designed
to provide enhanced visibility and drill-down into Frontier® ERP
based General Ledger transaction and budget entries across all
application modules.
Frontier General Ledger Supports:
- A flexible, user-defined chart of accounts format to support
the defined company architecture and financial reporting requirements
- Automatic posting of summary and detailed financial
information for a single company/division, or across multiple
companies
and divisions
- Flexible criteria for posting and closing Frontier® ERP
based transactions, including company, division, application
module,
date range and fiscal period
- Secured review, update and closing of financial journals
posted from other Frontier® ERP based application modules
- Multiple types of journal entries (manual, standard,
reversing, allocation), along with flexible options to generate

required journal entries
- Multiple budget versions with flexible options for

PC based spreadsheet

Frontier iGL Supports:
- A Java™ based, IBM WebSphere development environment
that can be deployed on any standard web server and utilizes
an Application
Program Interface (API) layer to leverage Frontier® ERP
based application program logic and data
- Journal Entry Inquiry – Inquiry into posted, unposted
and budget entries within the General Ledger with flexible,
user-defined
search and selection criteria to review all entries or
locate specific entries. Selected information displayed in
grid-like
format with
dynamic column sorting and automated drill-down from
summary to detailed journal entries and the associated source transactions.
