The Frontier® ERP System supports both rough cut and detailed
capacity planning, providing an organization the flexibility to
leverage capacity constraints within Sales Order Processing, Material
Planning and Production Scheduling.
Frontier Detailed Capacity Planning Supports:
- Background capacity consumption based on the production routing
for the product, taking into account work centers, setup
and run rates
- Detailed work center file to define available hours
and any established efficiency factors, along with a shop calendar
to simulate
business operations and conditions
- Flexible inquiry and reporting of available work center
capacity, in hours, against planned and released shop floor load
Frontier Rough Cut Capacity Planning Supports:
- Real-time capacity consumption based on the user-defined
capacity constraints and the associated bill of resources for
the
product
- Table based definition of capacity constraints to be
monitored, with user-defined units of measure to define available
capacity
- Flexible quantification of how capacity is consumed
based on fixed standards, formula based calculations and Boolean
logic based
conditional criteria
- Integration with the Frontier® ERP Order Promising
module to provide real-time capacity constraint checking at Order
Entry
- Integration with the Frontier® ERP iSchedule module
to provide capacity constraints against production backlog to
establish realistic
production schedules
- A shop calendar and effectivity date driven constraints
to simulate business operations and conditions
- Flexible inquiry and reporting of available capacity,
based on the unit of measure established for the constraint,
against
planned and released shop floor load
