Frontier Order Promising provides the functionality to simultaneously
analyze multiple business elements to accurately determine when
a product will be available for a customer. The Order Promising
module provides the flexibility to specify different order promising
logic depending on the product being ordered, or the manufacturing
method(s) being utilized. Order Promising can utilize any or all
of the following to calculate a promise date for the product; finished
goods availability, component or raw material availability, standard
product lead time, customer shipping schedule and plant capacity.
The Frontier® ERP system promises orders at a line item level,
with additional functionality being in place to automatically synchronize
line item dates for ship complete orders.
Frontier Order Promising Supports:
- Real-time calculation and generation of order promise dates for
every sales order line item, supporting both stock and custom
configured product lines
- Dynamic lead time logic for configuration based product lines,
taking into account product attributes being specified to
determine standard lead time
- Identification of multiple capacity resources, along with flexible
definition of how and when a capacity resource is consumed
- Identification of “critical” components within the
product structure that are checked for availability during order
promising – typically long lead time components
- Customer route definition to support regional truck consolidations,
along with specific days of the week a customer is shipped to
