Frontier Configured Product Specification has been designed to
improve the efficiency, accuracy and visibility of the business
functions associated with the fulfillment of complex, customer
specified product lines. The functionality of this application
is built around a fully integrated, rules based Product Configurator.
In order to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations, a
Product Configurator needs to be much more than a quotation or
order entry tool. It needs to be the core of the business system,
accessing information from, or providing information to almost
every other department and function within the business operations.
The engineering, marketing and production logic that drives the
Configured Product Specification module is developed and maintained
within the Frontier Product Configuration Management (PCM) applications.
