The Frontier iSchedule application is an Intranet based application
designed to support the dynamic scheduling of replenishment orders
into production batches or runs based on the actual product mix
and user-defined scheduling criteria. Frontier iSchedule provides
access to critical production, capacity, sales and product information
for use in defining the optimal size and sequencing for production
runs.
Frontier iSchedule Supports:
- Production scheduling based on dynamically developed production
runs, consisting of a select group of replenishment orders
that have met the established criteria
- Summary and detailed visibility of available backlog,
with dynamic sequencing of preliminary production runs based
on user-defined
search and selection filters
- Flexible options to sequence production runs based
on shipping, customer, production or product attributes, including
configuration
attributes defined against customer-specified, make-to-order
product lines
- Two levels of production sequencing, defining an overall
driving sequence for staged component materials into final assembly,
as well as an independent sequence for component production
- Interactive visibility of capacity constraints and
material availability during the generation of production batches,
ensuring
the entire batch can be built
- Automatic generation of planned production runs based
on available backlog and default selection criteria, with the
option to adjust planned runs prior to release
- Automated processing of the required production order
functions (i.e., release, report, receive and close), based
on the equivalent activities being executed at a production run level
- User-defined format, on-line and hard copy, of the
actual production schedule
- Production run level global changes of dates and work
centers across all production orders associated with the production
run
- Integration with the Frontier iDispatch module to generate
production runs based on truck loads and drop sequences
- Integration with the Frontier Material Optimization
module to optimize material usage and staging based on production
runs
