Frontier Engineering Change Management provides the functionality
to manage the constantly changing engineering specifications associated
with both stock and custom configured product lines. Integration
of Engineering Change Management functionality into Frontier PDM
and PCM data files ensures that engineering changes are managed
and effectively rolled into production.
Frontier Engineering Change Management supports:
- Engineering Change Request (ECR) processing to track open ECRs
that have been generated, along with the product or product
lines impacted by the change
- ECR approval process to track the required sign-offs
to finalize the change into an Engineering Change Notification
(ECN)
- Detailed tracking of historical Engineering Change
activity associated with a product or configured product line
- ECN references and associated effective in/out dates
integrated into all PDM records and PCM attribute lists, rules,
tables and formulas
- Full revision level tracking across all engineering,
production and purchasing functions to provide historical visibility
of product specifications
