Advanced Manufacturing Execution

Deerfield, IL – (August 20, 2007) – Friedman Corporation is pleased to announce the general availability of Advanced Manufacturing Execution (AME) for the Frontier ERP application suite.

The paper-less shop floor: The ultimate design goal of AME is to completely replace today’s “paper based” shop-floor communications methods. AME delivers a web-based, graphical view of the detailed manufacturing execution plan to shop floor personnel, including: what to build, when to build it, how to build it, and where to move the product once it has been built. It also provides an integrated facility for reporting the progress of the build, as well as reporting exceptions such as scrap activity and out-of-sequence production. All of these differing activities are presented in a single integrated view in the browser.

Adapts to the way you work: AME is a highly-customizable product. Without programming, the presentation at each individual work centre can be tailored to the needs of that work center, including access to any or all configuration information, access to drawings, visibility to the inbound work queue (including custom sorts), and overview displays of current production requirements and status. AME also supports differing reporting methods at each work center: use run-level, order-level, or license-plate-level reporting as appropriate.

Availability: AME is available today to all Frontier customers who use Frontier releases 2.1.15 and higher.
