DEERFIELD, Ill. (May 24, 2007) – Mark Thompson, a member of Friedman Corporation’s
leadership team since 1995, has been promoted to president from vice president of operations, the
company announced today.
Friedman Corporation (http://www.friedmancorp.com/) is a leading provider of ERP
solutions that helps mid-sized discrete manufacturers in the building industry turn data into
information that can drive profitable growth. Friedman is wholly owned by Constellation
Software, Inc. (CSI).
As president, Thompson will take on added responsibilities for helping to lead the
management and strategic direction of the firm. He also has served as Friedman’s chief financial
officer.
“Mark’s leadership and direction have been a tremendous asset to Friedman,” said Mark
Miller, chief operating officer of CSI and chief executive officer of Friedman Corporation. “We
fully expect that to continue in the future as he ensures Friedman is well-positioned to take
advantage of opportunities to continue our growth path.”
Prior to joining Friedman, Mark was with System Software Associates and I.T.T.
Corporation and was also internal audit manager for Chrysler Corporation.
Thompson, who is 51, holds a bachelor’s of business administration from the University
of Iowa, a M.S. in accounting from the University of Arizona, and an MBA from the University
of Phoenix. He and his family reside in Highland Park, Illinois.
