DEERFIELD, IL (April 22, 2007) – Friedman Corporation, the leading developer of ERP
(enterprise resource planning) software for make-to-order manufacturers in the building industry,
has announced that one its premier clients, Tacoma-based Milgard Vinyl has gone live on
Frontier, its main software offering.
The company manufactures vinyl components for Milgard Windows.
"The implementation at Milgard Vinyl began with a project kick-off meeting less than nine
months ago," said Mark Thompson, Friedman Chief Operating Officer. "The installation went
smoothly, with minimal business interruption, thanks to the successful teaming of Friedman and
Milgard employees. We all put in long hours to accomplish this ambitious task."
Milgard Vinyl is using Frontier 2.1 with its iDispatch, iSchedule, Advance Manufacturing
Execution (AME), and iInquiry modules. Future plans include an upgrade to the newly released
Frontier 2.2, and the implementation of the Frontier system in two Milgard glass tempering
facilities, and numerous manufacturing locations.
Friedman’s Frontier ERP solution relies on the firm’s deep knowledge of the building industry
combined with integrated single database architecture and best-in-class configurator, which
provides a central point of control and integration for all data. This has helped to establish the
company as the niche leader in high-volume, multi-plant and complex make-to-order
manufacturing of items such as cabinets, windows, doors, fabricated metals, office furniture and
window fashions.
Friedman Corporation, wholly owned by Constellation Software, Inc., is headquartered in
Deerfield, Ill., with offices throughout the U.S. and U.K. For more information about Friedman
