Integration of two popular systems will
save time, cut paperwork and eliminate ordering errors
DEERFIELD, IL, January 21, 2003: 20-20 Technologies
Inc. and Friedman Corporation are pleased to announce Phase 1 of
an end-to-end solution that will link two of the most popular software
systems in the kitchen and bath industry: 20-20 Design and the
Frontier® Customer Service and Configuration application.
In an industry first, these two systems will be tightly
integrated in a complete design, ordering and production control
system.
This powerful system will save time, cut paperwork, and virtually
eliminate
ordering errors for dealers and manufacturers on both sides of
the transaction. “
Our goal is to make sure that every order sent from a kitchen dealer
to a manufacturer is totally validated and accurately priced,” says
George Papaioannou, 20-20’s e-Business Manager. “This
very high level of integration will provide instant order acknowledgments
and measurably speed up order turnaround. It’s the complete
business system that many manufacturers and dealers have been asking
for.”
“
This level of total integration between the cabinet dealer’s
20-20 Design system and the manufacturer’s Frontier business
system will serve to eliminate errors in cabinet specification
and pricing. Both the cabinet dealer as well as the manufacturer
will benefit directly in the form of reduced time and cost from
order placement to product delivery. The integrated system will
insure that both price and product engineering changes are immediately
in place at the 20-20 equipped cabinet dealer, completely validating
the kitchen design as well as providing accurate dealer costs” says
Jim Naas, Strategic Product Director for Friedman Corporation.
With this system, any kitchen and bath dealer using
20-20 Design enabled by 20-20 BizManager will be able to create
kitchen
designs, generate validated electronic orders and send them
to any manufacturer
using the Frontier production system.
Inside the 20-20 BizManager software, the order
will be thoroughly validated and priced using the latest specifications
from the
manufacturer.
Then the system will send an electronic order to
a secure server, using the latest technology to transfer the
cabinet details
from the design directly into the Frontier order management
application.
From there, these customer specifications will be validated,
planned, scheduled and built just like an order that was manually
entered
and configured.
The Phase 1 linked software systems will be demonstrated
at K/BIS 2003 on April 11 to 13, 2003 in Orlando, FL. The full
commercial
release of the system is expected later in the year.
